About Romeo Kabanda

Registered Clinical Counsellor

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges to build rich and meaningful lives. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, improve communication, and foster deeper connections.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether due to relationship issues, personal struggles, or the everyday stresses that weigh us down. My goal is to help you find clarity, balance, and fulfillment by using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs. I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gottman Therapy. Through these approaches, we'll work to uncover what's holding you back and develop practical strategies to overcome these obstacles.

I hold a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Counselling Psychology and I'm an insured and Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #22251). I warmly welcome both individuals and couples, and I am particularly committed to providing a safe and affirming space for everyone, regardless of background or experience. My approach is compassionate, empathetic, and tailored to meet your specific needs.

If you're ready to take the first step towards positive change, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to unlock your potential and create the life and relationships you desire.

About Leena Mehta

Registered Clinical Counsellor

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) interested in learning about my clients and their experiences to create a space where together we can work towards finding where they find themselves getting stuck. I remain patient, kind and curious while exploring an individual’s experiences in sessions to help them strengthen their relationships with who they are now and who they want to be.

As a woman who identifies as South Asian and an immigrant living & working in Canada for the past six years, both my personal lived experience and professional life inform me of potential challenges individuals experience in trying to balance their cultural norms with mainstream Western society. I work with clients to navigate these challenges in a non-judgemental and supported manner.

I incorporate modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) in my therapy to help clients process their experiences and unresolved childhood issues.

She holds a Masters degree in Social Work from London Metropolitan University and a Masters degree in Law from Birkbeck University of London. She has an undergraduate degree in History from Queen Mary University of London. She is a RCC with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#19428).

About Jeff Hoy

Founder, Clinical Lead

Registered Clinical Counsellor

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who wants to help you, in the way that works for you, and at the pace that works for you. I seek to create a safe, calm, and open place for you to explore what is really going on. I have lived a richly experienced life - and I know first hand what it's like to be in a difficult place. I believe that my broad life experience - with both positive and many negative experiences - gives me an exceptional ability to understand, empathize with, and inspire the clients I work with.

My training enables me to help clients explore uncomfortable underlying emotions, thoughts, and memories that keep them from living the life they want. Many of my clients comment on how I bring a positive, gentle, authentic, and sometimes fun energy into the work we do, and I do believe in bringing myself into the therapy room as a person and not just a therapist.

I use a multifaceted approach to therapy including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Non-Violent Communication (NVC) - what does that mean? I will be able to connect and work with you in the way that works for you - by orienting to thoughts, ideas, attitudes and beliefs, or by connecting to deeper, vulnerable parts of you, or by exploring how emotions show up for you and what you do with them.

Helping a client in their darkest hour is always an honor - Creating meaningful lasting change in others lives is my calling in life, and I always have the deepest respect and gratitude for being able to bring healing and change.

Jeff Hoy has worked with clients and client families in very challenging circumstances within a public sector role, with high achieving successful clients as well as struggling marriages in two group practices, with aspiring men in a men’s mental health - focused group practice, and with all manner of clients and client issues in his own private practice. He holds a Masters of Arts (MA) Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. He is an insured and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in the province of BC with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
